Resident Services Manager

Meet Angela Kuehn

Hi, I’m Angela Kuehn, Resident Services Manager at The Gardens at San Carlos. I’ve spent over ten years in senior care, growing from hands-on caregiving into a role focused on supporting both residents and families. What began as a job became a true calling rooted in compassion and respect. As a mother and grandmother, I know how important trust is, and I’m committed to helping every resident feel safe, comfortable, and truly cared for each day.

The Gardens is locally owned and operated, and that matters. In large corporate communities, residents can get lost in the shuffle. Here, every resident is a person with a story, not a room number. If you’re looking for a place where your loved one will truly be known and cared for, I’d love to meet you.

Resident Services Manager

Meet Tiphney DelPrado

Hi, I’m Tiphney DelPrado, and I’m often the first person families speak with when they reach out to The Gardens. I’m here to make the process feel easier—answering questions, learning about your loved one’s needs, and helping you navigate next steps with clarity and confidence.

My goal is to make sure every family feels supported and informed along the way. Whether you’re just beginning your search or getting settled at The Gardens, I’m always here to listen, guide, and help however I can. It’s a privilege to walk alongside families during such an important transition.

Schedule a Care Assessment

How quickly can The Gardens accept a new resident after discharge?

We can typically complete an assessment and admit promptly, depending on care complexity and room availability. Our intake process is streamlined, and we prioritize responsiveness—especially for hospital discharges or patients transitioning from rehab.

To move quickly, we recommend calling or texting us directly at (520) 214-1195. We’re happy to coordinate with discharge teams, provide documentation, and work within your timeline whenever possible.

We invite you to check our Room Availability section above for openings, or feel free to schedule a care assessment using our online calendar.

Who oversees care, and how is support coordinated?

At The Gardens at San Carlos, care is overseen by Administrative Director Emily Lowe, who is directly involved in daily operations and care planning. All caregivers are Arizona state-certified and memory care trained, with ongoing education in advanced support needs.

We coordinate closely with physicians, home health, hospice, and mobile providers to ensure care plans are clearly documented, regularly reviewed, and adjusted as residents’ needs evolve.

Do you offer short-term or respite stays?

Yes. The Gardens offers respite stays that may be appropriate following a hospital or rehab discharge, for caregiver relief, or as a short-term support option. Availability and fit are evaluated individually to ensure we can safely meet the resident’s needs.

What information do you need to evaluate a potential referral?

To evaluate fit, we typically review care needs, mobility level, current diagnoses, and general support requirements. We’re willing to travel for care assessments and are happy to coordinate directly with professional partners to gather the information needed for an informed decision.

Who should professional partners contact with questions or referrals?

Emily Lowe (Administrative Director) is the primary point of contact for professional partners. Please call or text us anytime at (520) 214-1195—we’re quick to answer and responsive if a message is missed. We value strong local partnerships and make communication a priority.
